
Dear HR Managers and Business Owners, According to a recent study completed by Corporate Project Resources Inc., more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies say they would likely hire a mom returning to work on a contract or short-term basis. Several factors are behind the welcoming attitude. Mothers who leave the labor force today tend to be older and have more career experience and proven skills than in the past, making them desirable job candidates. And employer attitudes have changed. Flexible work schedules, telecommuting and other family-friendly programs that were once unheard of can now be found at many major companies.
