Glastech are searching for a Senior Design Manager to lead a drafting team of 5 people.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Will report to the senior partners of the firm
  • Lead a 4/5 person team in a fast pace culture
  • Lead the CAD projects using AutoCAD to prepare 2D and 3D drawings
  • Assist in design of new glazing systems and modifications to existing systems
  • Ensure constant communications with all project staff to identify potential problems, formulate recommendations, solutions and report
  • Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives and quality assessment
  • Review and monitor the drafting team’s processes, procedures and quality management plans thus ensuring distribution and accuracy of all design information and documentation to all relevant parties
  • Responsibility for the technical details on the drawings that leave the drafting department
  • Represent Glastech within the Architectural community
  • Communicate ideas for improvement to senior partners

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor or Engineering degree, Engineering Technologist, Architect Technologist 

Experience:

  • 10 years of professional experience in the technical glazier industry or related industry
  • Team Player
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter and willing to take the initiative
  • Ability to handle a fast pace culture
  • Strong self-management skills to ensure timely and accurate issue of project deliverables
