The Association of Real Estate License Law Officials (ARELLO) was founded in 1930 to facilitate the exchange of information and cooperation among regulators and policy makers in the area of real property.  The focus of the organization today is to promote and protect the public interest by supporting entities all over the world that are involved in the licensing and regulation of real estate practitioners and in the administration and enforcement of real estate license laws.

We are searching for a Chief Executive Officer who will serve as chief of staff, corporate secretary and advisor to the association at its office in Chicago, Illinois. The CEO will further recommend and participate in the formulation of new policies and work closely with and support various groups and individuals within the association in accordance with governing documents.  The CEO will also organize, direct, support and coordinate staff, consultants and vendors and will oversee the programs, services, products, resources and activities of the association to ensure that the association’s best efforts are made toward accomplishing the strategic plan and achieving constructive growth for the association. The CEO will also work to develop and maintain internal and external relationships and create a positive image for the association. We are looking for an executive whose values are reflected in his/her everyday professional style – a style that resonates with the mission of the organization.

The individual to fill this position must have demonstrated leadership in a result based environment at the CEO/COO/CFO level and possess a proven ability to build and manage multiple professional relationships.  Experience in public administration, association management or business management, is strongly preferred as is experience in professional/occupational regulation.
