The minimum qualification on the Packetlabs team is the OSCP, CISSP is an asset, most of the team has well beyond. Packetlabs’ Ethical Hacking team thinks outside of the box, finds weaknesses others overlook, and continuously learns new ways to evade controls in modern networks. Packetlabs is searching for a Penetration Tester.
Mission of the Penetration Tester:
The Penetration Tester enjoys working in a fast-paced/dynamic environment. This role entails delivery of engagements including penetration testing, objective-based penetration testing and web and mobile application security testing. Applicants need to have above-average persistence, attention to detail and passion for ethical hacking.
Role Responsibilities:
- Learn, understand and embrace the culture and core values of Packetlabs, get to know the team
- Gain an in-depth understanding of Packetlabs, the industry, competitors and where Packetlabs is positioned
- Conduct penetration testing, application security testing and cyberattack simulations on computer systems
- Perform methodical penetration testing using the Packetlabs methodology to discover vulnerabilities in client networks
- Attempt to compromise high-profile targets to assess security in client organizations
- Discover vulnerabilities across people, process and technology leveraging industry-leading testing techniques
- Collaborate with team members to exploit more complex attack scenarios, compile results and write reports outlining findings
- Stay current with evolving technology and and changing trends
Role Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in a similar role and a graduate of Information Security or Computer Science degree program, must have the OSCP certification
- Professional qualifications (one or more): CISSP, OSCP, OSCE, GWAPT, GPEN, GXPN, OSEP, OSWE, OSED
- A good communicator who is able to collaborate well with team, produce written reports and relay information effectively to clients, demonstrates strong time management skills
- Knowledge of technical systems and terminology, competently identifies and exploits vulnerabilities
- Naturally curious with the ability to detect and correct system weaknesses, ensuring system changes or improvements are implemented as quickly as possible
- A collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to think analytically and conduct tests utilizing creativity and imagination
- A solution focused problem-solver who determines the best way to correct issues, protects the network and data from potential risks
